Episode 13 - Please Please Me: The Album The Beatles debut album, Please Please Me, came out in March 1963. Producer George Martin wanted to build on two successful singles, and he needed to figure out how to capture a band that had become a fiercely able live act. What nobody expected was an album that did more to change the long-player than the later, more celebrated, records like Rubber Soul & Sgt.Pepper.
