When fourth grader Torin Vale receives a magical paper swan from his art teacher, the creases of each fold come alive with dance. Guided by the swan’s graceful waltz, Torin meets classmate Indira Sun, who crafts paper wind chimes and color-shifting lanterns. As they fold mountain, valley, squash, and petal folds, they learn basic ballet moves—pliés, pirouettes, formations—while sketching stage layouts and mastering rhythm in 3/4 time.
