Shamanism is believed to be one of the oldest healing modalities. It can be traced back to indigenous cultures across the globe. Traditionally a shaman was also called a medicine person who journeyed to spirit realms with the help of their power animal. In a healing session the shaman may call in the directions to open sacred space. They may also use a drum, rattles, feathers and sacred smudge for e.g. sage for cleansing and clearing. They may also use hands on healing during a session.

On Virginia’s personal shamanic journey she has sat with many different teachers who have guided her along the way. She has been taught many theories on what shamanic healing is and the ones that she took on board and works with in this audio and in her healing practise are the ones that resonate with her heart.
