Hundreds or even thousands are feared dead after a powerful cyclone slams into the French overseas territory of Mayotte. Israel wants to double its population on the ccupied Golan Heights, just over a week after the fall of the Assad regime in neighboring Syria. President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team is looking at cutting off federal support for electric vehicles. Plus, Canada’s promised border crackdown is easier said than done.
