Brenden Sanderson is known in his small town for his sunny personality and being friends with everyone. But when he accidentally tells his adopted daughter's grandparents that he's in a serious relationship right before they announce an unexpected visit, he goes into panic mode.

His longtime friend Travis Reed is known in town as a grumpy loner, but he has his reasons, and he also has a serious soft spot for Brenden. So when he offers to help Brenden out by being his fake boyfriend, Brenden isn't going to turn him down.

What neither of them expect, though, is for fake boyfriends to turn into fake boyfriends with benefits, and then into something else that feels a lot less fake.
