Love Among the Chickens

Love Among the Chickens is a comic novel by P. G. Wodehouse, first published in 1906. It tells the story of Jeremy Garnet, a young novelist who is persuaded by his friend Stanley Featherstonehaugh Ukridge to help him run a chicken farm. Ukridge is a larger-than-life character who is always coming up with harebrained schemes, and his attempts to run the farm are predictably disastrous. However, Garnet and Ukridge's friendship is strong, and they always manage to find a way to laugh at themselves, even when things go wrong. The novel is full of Wodehouse's trademark humor, and it features a cast of eccentric characters, including Ukridge's prize rooster, the Hon. Augustus Ukridge, and the mysterious Miss Wopplesdon. Love Among the Chickens is a classic of English humor, and it is sure to entertain readers of all ages.
