It's Going To Be Okay

The world spins around me. It can't be real. None of this can be happening. I'm a normal person and my life will forever go on being normal. I run upstairs into my bedroom, falling face-first onto the comforter, balling the sheets into my fist. I have no control, no power. I'm only a fifteen-year-old girl. I've been standing in the middle of an ocean all my life, in control of nothing. But now I'm sinking. Drowning. God, how is this part of your plan? Nothing is going to be okay.
