Ella Thomas and Dan Martinson are excited to leave their families and friends behind in Green Bay and move to the island of Bonaire in the Caribbean to pursue their dream of owning a dive shop.

Dan finds a job as a diving instructor immediately, but Ella can’t get a work permit. The excitement and beauty of the coral reefs fill Dan’s days. Ella’s stuck cleaning up other people’s messes for cash under the table.

They’re dedicated to saving as much as they can so that when a dive shop becomes available, they can act fast. An unexpected opportunity threatens to drive a wedge between them.

A frustrated Ella comes up with a plan to maximize their savings by chasing that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Will Dan go along or stubbornly insist that they stick to their original plan?
