Inner Reality

Reality is not just "out there" – it arises in the interaction between us and the world. Simply close your eyes, stop moving, and relax your face, and enter the inner reality with curiosity. The book begins by introducing us to why inner reality is indeed reality, and later discusses everything that can be observed and done in inner reality, and how to understand it.

The inner reality is accessible to everyone, always and for free. Here we can calmly observe directly how perception works, how meaning is created, how our experience is shaped. We can discover that our true home is here, that there is another perspective besides our usual one. Still ours, just as valid, but free from all the noise of everyday life in the external reality. Such a perspective allows for understanding, relief, and peace, even during activity.

The book contains many practical examples and ends with four sample meditations that demonstrate the possibilities of inner practice. The path is simple – like closing our eyes and curiously begin to observe.

David Přikryl (49), an architect, lives in Prague. When a life crisis brought him to the end of his journey, all that was left for him was an answer to the fundamental question: Why does suffering exist? Why does anything exist at all? What is left, if we ignore the unessential? When he came to knowledge, he searched for a message that would be simple, universal, and easily accessible to everyone. Thus was born the topic of inner reality, and later this book.
