Raising my daughter on my own is hard enough, but when you add in a psycho ex-husband and not enough money to make ends meet, there are times when I want to put my head down and never pick it up again.

Except my daughter deserves more than that.

And then . . . I meet David Carmichael.

A man with a quick smile, infectious laughter, and a protective streak so wide, even the Grand Canyon sighs in admiration. We've spent our entire lives almost meeting, years and years of coincidences so strong they send goosebumps down my spine. It's like fate took a look at the cards I've been dealt and decided to hand me him as an apology.

David says we were inevitable and now that we're together, we're unbreakable. I only hope he's right.
