In Love with a Stranger

U.S. Marshal Lance Caldwell is immediately smitten by the photo of the woman he has been assigned to protect—even though he knows getting romantically involved with his charge is strictly forbidden. He takes the assignment believing he can handle the challenge. But when he learns he must guard her without her knowledge, things get complicated.

When Jamie Kowalski is whisked away to an out-of-the way ranch as part of the witness protection program, she insists she’ll only leave her successful, though lonely, Manhattan job if she doesn’t have a body guard breathing down her neck. When Lance’s creative methods to protect Jamie fall apart, because of his growing feelings for her, she starts seeing Lance as a threat. Unfortunately, she is falling in love with him.
