Identitäten im Pfarramt: Denkanstöße aus Theorie und Praxis

Nicht zuletzt durch kircheninterne Strukturdebatten wird das Selbstverständnis von kirchlichen Amtsträgern gegenwärtig hinterfragt. Der Aufsatzband geht dieser Frage nach und wirft ein Schlaglicht auf fluid gewordene Identitäten im Pfarramt. Um allzu einseitige Betrachtungsweisen zu vermeiden, sind hier diverse Positionen aus universitärer und kirchlicher Ausbildung sowie pastoraler Praxis gesammelt. Anhand der Beiträge wird deutlich, dass die Bildung pastoraler Identität als lebenslange Aufgabe der Pfarrerinnen und Pfarrer zu verstehen ist. Kirchenleitung und Universität wollen den Weg dazu ebnen, ohne eine Identität als anzustrebendes Ideal vorzugeben. Die Vielseitigkeit der Ansätze wird Orientierungspunkte an die Hand geben, die verworrene Transformationsprozesse des kirchlichen Amtes in Ansätzen entzerren können.

[Identities in the Parish Ministry. Thought-Provoking Impulses from Theory and Practice] Not least due to structural debates within the church, the self-understanding of church officials is currently being questioned. The volume of essays pursues precisely this question and sheds light on identities that have become fluid in the parish ministry. In order to avoid overly one-sided approaches, various positions from university and church formation as well as pastoral practice are collected here. The contributions show that the formation of pastoral identity is to be understood as a lifelong task of pastors. Church leaders and the university want to pave the way for this, without prescribing an identity as a desirable ideal. The diversity of the approaches will provide points of orientation that can help to untangle the confused transformation processes of the church ministry.
