How to Prevent a Fumble

I've made a lot of bad decisions, but moving into Leo Warner's apartment and working for him? Questionable. Not only is he my brother's best friend, but he's out of control.

My daughter and I have spent years just getting by while my ex-husband tries his best to sabotage anything good, and the last thing I need is an athlete who's constantly getting in trouble.

But when things heat up and my pride refuses to confide in my brother, Leo is the one who sees me at my lowest and offers to help. I can live with him in exchange for some meals. Briar Crosby is an ice queen I shouldn't want. Not only is she a single mom who's been handed some bad luck, but now she's stuck with me. The last thing she needs is my chaos.

But when she turns up on my doorstep, I couldn't turn her away. There's just something about Briar that makes me want to be better.

It was supposed to be fake. But I always want what I can't have. I hate being out of control, but I'd do anything for her.
