Hidden History of Cole County, Missouri

Historic tales lie in the shadows throughout Cole County, notably in the vicinity of Russellville, Lohman and Stringtown. Pioneers such as Enoch Enloe found a home near Russellville following a broken wagon wheel while making the journey west in the 1830s. Stringtown has become a forgotten town that was once home to a self-proclaimed doctor who was brutally murdered.
