He Patched In Another Woman While I Carried His Son: A Dark MC Biker, Marriage-in-Crisis, Secret Pregnancy Grovel Romance

He stood in a room with forty men in it and let them put a cut on another woman’s back, and he did not say one word.

Maren Holt walked into that clubhouse on a Thursday night in September with a pregnancy test in her jacket pocket and a sentence she had rehearsed eleven times on the drive in. She never got to say it. She took her key off the hook rail by the door, went out into the rain, drove six miles up a river road to twelve dogs who had not done anything to anybody, and told nobody at all.

Not her closest friend. Not the county. Not her husband.

Jonah “Mercy” Aldrich does not deny any of it. He is the sergeant at arms of the Gallows Reach Motorcycle Club, he knew four hours before it happened, and he had the time and the truck to drive four minutes across town and tell his wife. What he did instead was decide, in a room she was not allowed into, what she could carry. It is not the first time he has done that to her. He is about to find out it is the eleventh.

So he starts showing up. Four o’clock, every Wednesday, on her step, in the rain. He does not come inside. He does not bring anything. He answers whatever she asks him, in full, the first time she asks it, including every part that makes him look worse.

Meanwhile a courteous man sixty miles south, who has been buying her husband’s club one debt at a time, has worked out that the fastest way to own a coastal town is to own the search and rescue contract of the only certified dog handler in eighty miles.

And a man who was working on that debt in July has not been seen since July.

HE PATCHED IN ANOTHER WOMAN WHILE I CARRIED HIS SON is a full-length standalone dark MC romance set on the Oregon coast. Marriage in crisis. Secret pregnancy. A grovel measured in what it costs him instead of what he says. No cheating: what the club did is not what the husband did, and the difference between those two things is the whole book. Dual point of view, no cliffhanger, and a committed, hopeful ending earned on the page.
