Happiness is Blue and Gold

In 19th Century Australia two families, the Everests and the Deres, meet by chance and their lives are forever entwined. Lifelong friends, 'Blue' Everest and Matthew Dere, are true showmen born and take ship to England in the hope of joining a circus. They travel around the highways and byways of eastern England, with a circus wagon and their faithful dog, Prince, performing as a clown and musician. There is drama, love and romance as they encounter a scheming aristocrat, a beautiful woman and help to shape the lives of those they meet in this tale of unbreakable friendship and family ties which takes the reader back and forth across two countries
