All the above are mere symptoms of ecological overshoot or overconsumption, when a species exceeds the carrying capacity of its habitat. Overshoot is always met with collapse by matter of natural law. Yes, it's too late. We've waited too long. So, when global societal collapse is inevitable, why not go down singing and dancing?
