‘Forged By Betrayal’ a Montvale Novel.

Montvale is a small City. The ‘locals’ of Montvale a liken it to being more like a little town or village. Most are on a first name basis. ‘Locals’ are the direct descendants of those that the founding father, Jerimiah Ezekial Montvale, deemed worthy to live on his vast 1500-acre estate. Their worth was often measured by the assistance they provided his loving disabled wife. Jerimiah was extremely wealthy. Those that brought his wife joy during her confinement, were often gifted with a 2-bedroom cabin on an acre of his land located near his 100-acre Montvale Lake. That way they could visit Mariah more frequently. Others manned the businesses and shops that made up the stores his disabled wife desired to visit, Floral shop, Post Office, Market Place, etc. When Mariah murmured words, such as, ‘I wish I could pick out some flowers for the foyer.’ Jerimiah had a floral shop built and manned it by ‘Locals’. He did that with most of the businesses that were built upon or adjacent to his estate. Jerimiah died shortly after his wife. His will contained specific instructions down to the last detail for his vast estate, so he thought.

Montvale ‘locals’ know most everything that takes place in their small town. Not much stayed hidden for long.

When one of their own is betrayed in the most hideous of ways, the ‘locals’ back her up.

Surviving betrayal, and the justice system is very hard. Overcoming the pain and hurt it can cause, even harder. It takes time and trust. Giving yourself a second chance at love can be the hardest to overcome.
