Complete and unabridged, with 46 full-page plates by Ozias Humphry, Lemuel Francis Abbott and John Hoppner. Welsh folklore from Cardiganshire and the mid-country - the corpse candles, the fairy cattle, the cures and the ghosts - collected by a Cardiganshire man among his own people, many of them named. This edition is bound with a gallery of 46 plates, among them paintings by John William Waterhouse, William Bell and Giotto, and includes 14 in-text illustrations restored and coloured.
