Fire On Cory & Haley's Street

This little children's book walks Cory and Haley through each step of their experience when the fire department responds to a fire at a neighbor's house.

The book provides knowledge of the events and issues when they participate, directly or indirectly, in a fire or medical emergency. Children often experience a great deal of anxiety and hold fears that bad things will happen to them after they have experienced or witnessed a crisis event.

Having some fore warning of what is or will be happening during the course of any crisis response situation is paramount in reducing the level of the child's trauma. This is contrasted to the normal non-threatening environment which children experience when visiting the local firehouse.
