"Fear and Trembling" is a philosophical work by Søren Kierkegaard that explores faith through the lens of Abraham's near sacrifice of Isaac. The title itself comes from a Bible verse about approaching God with both reverence and apprehension. Kierkegaard delves into the paradox of Abraham's situation: being commanded by God to do something morally horrific yet acting with complete faith. It's a meditation on the nature of faith, obedience, and the boundaries of human understanding.
