While he wrote chiefly in the realm of speculative fiction, he also worked in other genres, including horror, mystery, and coming of age fiction. His best-known works include the novel Fahrenheit 451, his collections of short stories, The Martian Chronicles and The Illustrated Man, and the speculative horror novel Something Wicked This Way Comes. Today’s story was first published in the pulp magazine, Thrilling Wonder Stories, in October 1948. And now, The Square Pegs, by Ray Bradbury.
