Diseño de portada/Cover art design David Rubiales Suárez Recitado por/Voice: Rafael Baena Zapatero Written during the Spanish Civil War and printed in 1939, "El hombre acecha" reveals a darker side of Miguel Hernández’s wartime poetry. His political commitment remains, but hunger, wounded bodies and imprisonment bring the human cost of the conflict to the foreground. Powerful imagery and moments of tenderness convey both the brutality of war and the determination to resist it. The collection closes with “Canción última”, where the longing for home and love preserves a hope that violence has not extinguished.
