Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two invites Christians to continue their journey through the complete Bible with another full year of daily readings from both the Old and New Testaments. Building on the foundation of the first volume, this second year provides assigned Scripture readings and a brief daily devotion using Dr. Ken Burge’s proven F.I.R.E. method of Bible study.

F.I.R.E. stands for

Familiarity: Learn to ask probing questions and become intimately acquainted with each passage. Interpretation: Determine the intended meaning of the text. Relationship: Consider the paragraph within its context of the book and beyond, to the whole of Scripture. Employment: Consider how God can employ Christians to do His will through their new understanding of the text. Through the continued use of the F.I.R.E. method and daily devotions, this second year helps Christians strengthen their grasp of Scripture, remember what they read, and faithfully apply God’s truth—fueling a lasting passion for His Word.
