A string of murders tangles up British detective Patrick Dawlish in an intricate web of deception in this riveting World War II–era mystery.

Notified by his wife, Felicity, of the killing of an Auxiliary Territorial Service girl, intelligence officer Patrick Dawlish is reminded of a similar murder of another ATS woman two months earlier.
