Daughter Of The Storm

When Mairi MacDonald loses her only daughter at birth, Mairi takes Christy into the warmth and fellowship of the close-knit island community to raise as her own, but finds it hard to welcome the waif into her heart, blaming Christy for taking the place of her true daughter. Longing for a mother's love, Christy finds companionship with her cherished foster brother David. When David is crippled in a near fatal accident, Christy realizes the true depth of her feelings. But will he ever feel the same for her? Set amidst the rugged beauty of the Isle of Lewis in the last century, Daughter of the Storm is the dramatic tale of a young girl's faithful love and her passion to preserve a timeless Island heritage.
