Cursed Mountains

Rolland was a man who had seen enough war. A veteran ranger of the Forchuna Scouting Regiment, he wanted nothing more than to spend his days in quiet retirement. But when King Torrent’s prized white steed is stolen, Rolland is dragged back into service for one "final" mission.

What begins as a simple tracking job quickly turns into a nightmare. Following a trail of strange flasks and primitive stone knives, Rolland discovers the charred remains of villages and hunting lodges. The culprits are not common thieves, but the legendary "Mountain-Men"—brutish, sickly warriors long thought to be a myth or a curse confined to the far peaks.

As smoke rises from the valleys and the stench of blood fills the crisp fall air, Rolland realizes that a decade of peace has come to a violent end. Armed with only his yew bow and his arming-sword, the old veteran must venture into the jagged, cursed heights to stop an enemy that strikes in total darkness. The mountains are calling, and they demand a blood sacrifice.
