Take your Italian to the next level with Coffee Break Italian Advanced. Join native speaker Francesca and teacher Mark as they guide you through the intricacies of the language. This podcast is aimed at learners working at B1/B2 level and we'll be covering grammatical structures and topics appropriate to this level. In each episode Mark and Francesca will discuss a language point, and then you'll listen to a dialogue which features examples of the language point, helping you consolidate what you've learned.

Coffee Break Italian Advanced

In this first episode of Coffee Break Italian Season 3, Francesca and Mark explain how Direct Object Pronouns work with simple verbs in the present tense. You'll hear an explanation of the grammar point, then listen to a dialogue in which John, a Scottish student of Italian, is in Siena to improve his language skills. In this lesson, Coffee Break Italian hosts, Mark and Francesca, introduce the last remaining category of personal pronouns to be discussed in this series: disjunctive pronouns. CBI 3.09 | Disjunctive pronouns | Amicizia e musica

We have reached Lesson 10 of Coffee Break Italian Season 3! In this review lesson we look at all of the pronouns covered in Lessons 1 -9: subject pronouns, reflexive pronouns, direct and indirect object pronouns and combined pronouns. We also hear from Silvia, a young girl who has written a journal entry all about a boy in her class, Tommaso, whom she likes. Some interesting phrases to listen out for include una volta per tutte and avere una cotta per. Pronti?

CBI 3.10 | Review of all pronouns | Caro diario...

We’re here with the final episode of Coffee Break Italian Season 3! In the last chapter of “Il tesoro di Montespelonca” Professor Doppi’s motives are revealed: will he keep the treasure to himself or will it share it with the children? You will be able to really put yourself to the test with some advanced grammar points, including verbs in the passato remoto, conditional perfects and if clauses. Watch out for interesting new vocabulary like stivaloni, cenno and intraprendenza and don’t miss out on a special cosina of Dantesque flavour!
