Bo-Kaap is a historic area of Cape Town, South Africa, known as the Malay Quarter. Candy-colored houses are located on the slopes of Signal Hill above the city center. Bo-Caap is famous for its brightly colored homes and cobblestone streets. The neighborhood is traditionally multicultural, and most of its population is Muslim. This neighborhood has the largest concentration of architectural monuments since 1850 in South Africa, and it is the oldest surviving residential neighborhood in Cape Town. Our necks hurt from twisting our heads around all day, marveling at the vivid Bo-Kaap.
