Some one has said that life is to enjoy and obey and be like God; but hope is to wait and trust; to wait and expect; in other words, that hope is the daughter of faith. I heard a very godly man once say that joy was like the larks, that sang in the morning when it was light, but hope was like the nightingale, that sang in the dark; so that hope was really better than joy.
