Blade of the Sun: A WLW Warrior Fantasy Romance

Kaia doesn't take jobs for the scenery. She takes them for the coin, and this one pays well enough to ignore the complications.

The complications: escort a veiled priestess named Ashira across demon-haunted dunes, keep her alive, and don't ask too many questions about the ancient vows binding her. Ashira's purity isn't just personal. It's the seal on something old and unspeakable, and breaking it has consequences neither of them fully understands yet.

Her Obsidian Sphinx pads quietly alongside them as the desert heat presses down, relentless. Then the sandstorms hit. The demons come faster than expected. Forced together in the close dark of a desert cave, with sand hissing against the rock outside, the distance Kaia kept professionally starts to collapse.

She's never wanted anyone the way she finds herself wanting Ashira. Kaia, who built her life on contracts and clean exits, keeps noticing the quiet strength underneath the veils, the fire Ashira tries to contain. And Ashira, raised on sacrifice and sacred taboo, starts questioning what exactly she's been asked to give up, every time Kaia's hand steadies her in the dark.

The demons aren't slowing down. The ancient seals won't hold forever. One forbidden night changes the shape of everything.

Two women, one impossible choice, and a world that punishes the wrong answer.

Will their desire be the thing that saves them, or the crack that breaks the seal for good?

Sand gets into everything in Hyrkania. Your boots, your eyes, your carefully constructed sense of control.

The women of the Crimson Guard have built their reputations on being untouchable. Deadliest blades in the desert, bound by a duty older than most kingdoms. They don't bend. They don't yield. They've survived worse than the massive beasts that stalk the dunes at nightfall.

What they haven't survived yet: each other.

Five warriors. Five stories set against blood-soaked battlefields and the scorching open desert. Each woman carries a blade and the discipline to use it without hesitation. Each one meets the one opponent she can't simply cut down and walk away from.

The battles here are real, the ancient creatures are relentless, and the stakes are kingdoms. But the fight that undoes them isn't fought with steel.

Will the deadliest blades in Hyrkania master the battlefield, or fall to the only enemy they never trained for?
