Birth of Urvashi

Nara-Narayana were twin incarnation of Bhagwaan Vishnu. Shri Krishna and Arjuna are said to be incarnations of Narayana and Nara respectively, that is the reason they were inseparable and invincible when together.

Once Nara-Narayana performed a great penance at Badrikashram. This made Indra insecure so he sent a few Apsaras to disturb their devotion.

Observing this behaviour from Indra Narayana took a flower and placed it on his thigh to create the most beautiful nymph whose beauty far exceeded the Apsaras sent by Indra.
