I'd sworn off love. Marriage; let alone commitment. It was not for me. No matter how much I dreamed of it, I was not the girl to get the picket fence and the man of my dreams. I never thought of a family, not with the broken home I came from, until she blew into my life and turned it upside down. With her, I saw dreams I never thought I could have. She didn't share those same dreams, though. She let me go to find the woman who'd willingly give me a family. My life was only complete with her, until the unexpected occurred. Sometimes fate slapped you in the face and you had to accept it. But I'm not sure she could.
