His work includes famous cycles such as Hyperborea, Zothique, and Averoigne, along with memorable tales like “The City of the Singing Flame,” “The Vaults of Yoh-Vombis,” and “The Dark Eidolon.” His fiction blends lush poetic language with cosmic dread, making him a cornerstone of early weird fiction and speculative horror.
