A Match for Miss Marshall

Cambridge, 1896. When gifted mathematician Grace Marshall is thrown into poverty by the sudden loss of her distinguished father, marriage seems to offer the best hope of security. The obvious candidate agrees; their union would boost his professional reputation as well as offering Grace safe respectability. Grace, however, has already embarked on her own unlikely career as a fashion journalist. Learning the modern skill of typewriting, she quickly stumbles across corruption in the running of a nearby workhouse, and soon becomes involved in the fate of three abandoned children.
