A Kiss Under a False Name: She Believed in Him Before She Learned His Real Name.

Lena Bielska knows exactly what she wants from the restoration of the historic Luna Cinema: finish the project, prove that her architecture studio can handle a commission of this scale, and open the building on time. What she does not need is a mysterious stranger appearing in the dark after a late-night power failure.

He introduces himself as Marek Domański.

He is calm, observant, unexpectedly helpful - and apparently knows far more about Luna than any photographer should.

When Lena discovers that the foundation restoring the cinema has never heard of Marek Domański, the first crack appears in the attraction growing between them. The second comes when she learns his real name.

Aleksander Wysocki has his own reasons for entering Luna under a false identity. His family was once connected to the property, and his late father spent years insisting that an old transaction involving the cinema was not what it seemed. Aleksander has returned to search for answers hidden in documents, sealed rooms, forgotten archives and a past that several people would rather leave buried.

The problem is that Lena’s future depends on the very building Aleksander may have reason to challenge.

As renovation work uncovers a concealed office, old photographs, conflicting contracts and traces of a second archive, Lena and Aleksander are repeatedly forced onto opposite sides of the same truth. Attraction comes easily. Trust does not.

Especially when Lena realizes that the false name was only the first thing Aleksander failed to tell her.

Their relationship grows through late-night conversations, carefully chosen honesty, moments of tenderness and a chemistry neither of them can dismiss. But every new discovery raises the same question: can love survive when one person’s search for justice may destroy the other’s most important professional achievement?

And what happens when the truth about Aleksander’s family proves far less simple than either of them expected?

A Kiss Under a False Name is a contemporary adult romance about desire, responsibility, hidden motives and the difficult work of rebuilding trust after it has been damaged. Set against the restoration of an old cinema in Łódź, it combines emotional intimacy with a layered mystery involving family history, disputed property, concealed documents and decisions whose consequences return almost two decades later.

At its heart is not the question of whether Lena and Aleksander are drawn to each other.

They are.

The real question is whether attraction can become something lasting when honesty begins too late - and whether a man who once controlled the truth can learn to give up that control before he loses the woman who finally sees him clearly.
