A Highlander's Vow

A vow made years ago. Gregory Mackenzie intends to fulfill it, but first he has to rescue his intended wife.

Megan Sinclair did not have a horrible marriage to Laird Robin Sinclair, but it was not as satisfying as she had hoped it would be on their wedding day. Now that she is a widow, she is content to remain one. However, her husband's uncle, the new Laird of Sinclair Clan has arranged for her to marry a man of his choice. Gregory Makenzie, second-in-command to Laird Daniel Mackenzie is happy with his unmarried state. He is valued for his position in the clan and can find a lass to warm his bed at any time.

A letter arrives at the Mackenzie clan with information that will change Gregory's life. Years ago, he and Robert Sinclair had made a vow that if one of them died, leaving a widow, the other man, if still unwed, would marry her and protect her. Unaware of the plan that Robert's uncle has for Megan, Gregory makes the trip to fetch his new wife, who is essentially being held prisoner.
