14 Manu and 10 Incarnation of Lord Vishnu

This book explores the fascinating and spiritually rich narratives of the fourteen Manus and the ten major incarnations (Dashavatara) of Lord Vishnu, as presented in Hindu texts. Swayambhuva Manu, regarded as the first man and lawgiver, along with his wife Shatrupa, is believed to be the progenitor of humankind. His descendants are known as "Manushya" or humans. While different scriptures mention varying numbers of Manus—eight in the Mahabharata and fourteen in the Shvetavaraha Kalpa—this book delves into all fourteen. It also presents the stories of Vishnu’s ten principal incarnations, which include Lord Rama and Lord Krishna, revered for living as ideal human beings and guiding humanity through their actions. The text combines mythology, philosophy, and cultural heritage, offering insights into dharma, moral values, and divine purpose. Engaging and informative, it serves as both a spiritual guide and an inspiring retelling of key episodes from Hindu cosmology.
