Andreas Wijk

Andreas Wijk is a Swedish artist, performer and debut author whose work explores identity, faith and the courage to live authentically.

In 2022, he reached a global audience with If I Was Gay, a deeply personal song inspired by his journey of coming out after growing up in a Christian family. The song resonated with millions around the world and became the beginning of a larger conversation about sexuality, faith, acceptance and reconciliation.

His debut book, Pappa eller pastor, written together with his father, pastor Thomas Wijk, takes that conversation even further. Through two perspectives, the book tells the story of a father and son navigating faith, sexuality and their relationship with one another. This is the journey toward greater understanding, honesty and love.
