The wonderful wizard of Oz

This book is one of the best-known stories in American literature, originally published in 1900. Widely known and translated, it is a classical masterpiece – it doesn't matter if you are a child or a grown-up. When a tornado hits the house where Dorothy lives with her uncles, you will be dragged into this story powerfully imagined. Suddenly, the girl and her pet dog, Toto, are swept away from Kansas and taken to the wonderful Land of Oz. There, Dorothy will live many adventures, dangers, and magical stories. But, thankfully, she has new friends to join and help her face her fears: the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, the Cowardly Lion, and a host of other classic characters. But in the end, her Silver Shoes, which can take her anywhere, will show Dorothy that maybe the best place in the world is her own home.
