#1 The majority of people have regrets about their lives, not about what they’ve done with them. The sages said that when we die, we will be called to account for all the permissible pleasures in life we could have enjoyed but didn’t.

#2 We are constantly waiting for something to happen in our lives. We are waiting for the right man or woman, for children to grow up, for a vacation, for retirement, for our mortgage to be paid off, for a new skill or hobby, and so on.

#3 There are many common regrets among people who answer this question, and they all revolve around the fact that they did not take the opportunities that were presented to them. They regret not taking chances, dreams not being pursued, and suffering alone before seeking help.

#4 I regret not putting my own needs first sometimes. It is possible to say no with grace. It is possible to let go of what others think of you sometimes. It is possible to worry about others’ needs without only worrying about others’ needs.
