Asylum

When a dog walker discovers a body in the grounds of a disused 19th Century lunatic asylum, all the evidence points to suicide. Detective Jill Brennan is not convinced. The victim was not only a cop, he was Jill's ex-lover. The police commissioner wants the investigation dropped but Jill is determined to discover the truth despite battling her own demons.

Believing grief is affecting Jill's judgement, her superiors force her to take time off but when another body is found at the same location, Jill's back on the case and the investigation takes a terrifying turn into the world of crime gangs, drugs and child abuse.
