En god fortælling, der er opløftende på trods af det den triste start. En flyulykke med dødelig udgang vender op og ned på Natalies liv og tvinger hende at tage sit liv op til revision. Vi følger hendes udvikling og ser, hvordan hun lige så stille forandrer sig og bliver klogere på sig selv. Natalies afdøde mors boghandel, hendes bedstefar og de mennesker hun ellers møder, da hun flytter tilbage til sin barndomsby, hjælper hende med at finde den rette vej. Oplæseren bidrager også til en god lytteoplevelsen af bogen.
