ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK
"The Rooster Bar" by John Grisham follows three friends, Mark, Todd, and Zola, who are drowning in student loan debt from a for-profit law school. Facing bleak job prospects, they uncover a conspiracy involving the school's parent company. Inspired by Gordy's "conspiracy wall", the friends decide to fight back by practicing law without a license. As "Upshaw, Parker & Lane," they hustle clients in the courthouse and navigate the complexities of the legal system while trying to stay one step ahead of the law.
Their scheme leads them to confront powerful figures and make questionable choices. They also tackle issues of immigration, class action lawsuits, and ethical dilemmas as they attempt to expose a system designed to exploit aspiring lawyers.
